Raptor is excited to welcome Guy Wood—known as “Woody”—as our new Principal Consultant in the Systems Engineering & Architecture Practice.
A highly accomplished Systems Engineer, Woody has been instrumental in the successful delivery of the SKY SABRE programme, a groundbreaking enhancement to UK Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) capabilities. With over 11 years of experience in requirements management on complex Defence programmes, he has earned a reputation for excellence.
In addition to his contribution to SKY SABRE, Woody has gained over 5 years experience designing and delivering support solutions for Category A programmes. During his tenure as a resident expert at the Defence Academy, he was fundamental in the improvements to lethality modules and introduced weapons integration into the Guided Weapons MSc.
In his most recent role, Woody produced an in-depth sensor mix study for the Land GBAD programme and JSENS, expertly evaluating the optimal sensor technologies for future GBAD systems. He also worked on defining the future Test and Evaluation needs for Defence.
Simon Brooks, Systems Engineering & Architecture Practice Lead at Raptor, commented: “It’s fantastic to welcome Woody to the team. His extensive expertise in the Land domain and his proven ability to ensure that critical capabilities are clearly defined, understood, and delivered will help our customers to achieve their required operational advantage.”
