Current Opportunities
Technical Project Manager – Defence and Security Sector
Technical Project Manager (ICT) at Consultant and Senior Consultant levels working initially, but not exclusively, in the Defence market. You will work within, and where appropriate, lead multi-disciplinary consulting teams on ICT and technical projects, delivering solutions for our customers. You will also take on consulting assignments, providing P3M advice and guidance and supporting Raptor in winning future work though customer engagement, proposal development and thought leadership.
Role requirements include:
- Proven track record of successful delivery of ICT projects and programmes within complex environments; likely to have 3-5 years’ experience.
- Project management ability including project and resource planning and experience of a range of methodologies, including Agile.
- Good knowledge and experience of implementing and operating project governance, controls and reporting.
- Experience of working within Defence or Security sectors.
- Ability to understand the customer’s problem and deliver a high-level of customer service.
- Strong people skills including managing technical teams.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience of managing contracts.
- Experience of managing third party suppliers and their associated contracts.
- Good knowledge of financial processes including project cost control and ability to interpret, analyse and report financial data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Systems Engineer – Defence and Security Sector
Systems Engineer working primarily, but not exclusively, in the Defence market. You will be responsible for providing systems engineering support to our clients across the full system lifecycle. You will also take an active role in winning future work though client engagement, technical proposals and thought leadership – and work with the Directors to grow Raptor’s systems engineering team.
Role requirements include:
- Relevant first degree in Systems Engineering e.g. BEng Computer Systems Engineering, BSc Computer Science (Systems Engineering).
- Proven track record of providing systems engineering support for complex platform, system or service acquisition and delivery projects across the full lifecycle; likely to have at least 3-5 years’ experience.
- Ability to apply systems thinking and systems engineering processes including ISO15288 across the lifecycle.
- Development/ input to Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP).
- Elicitation engineering and management of user, system and service requirements.
- Solution evaluation at design reviews including Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR and CDR).
- Planning, conduct and management of test and trials for complex systems.
- Identification and management of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies and opportunities (RAIDO).
- Experience of working within Defence or Security sectors.
- Strong people skills including managing technical teams.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
